How big do Ball Pythons get?
Ball Pythons are sexually dimorphic – which means males and females are different sizes when full grown:
Females: 3 to 5 feet, 1500 – 4000 grams on average
Males: 2 to 3 feet, 1000 – 2000 grams on average
How long do Ball Pythons live?
With proper care, Ball Pythons can live 20 – 40 years.
What about Temprature and Humidity?
Ball Pythons are ectothermic (cold-blooded) so they need a temperature gradient in order to regulate their bodily functions.
Cool Side of the enclosure: 80 and 90 degrees
Warm Side of the enclosure: 90 and 95 degrees
Note: You should never exceed 95 degrees.
Humidity: 60 – 70%.
Where do Ball Pythons come from?
Wild Ball Pythons can be found from West into Central Africa, most commonly found in Nigeria, Uganda, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea. Most animals you find in the pet trade in the US are descendants of wild-caught animals imported from Benin, Ghana, and Togo.
